Minutes (the "App") is developed by Videc. We are committed to protecting your privacy through a "Privacy by Design" philosophy.

1. Information Collection and Use

Minutes is designed as a local productivity tool. It operates on a Zero-Server architecture. We do not collect, store, or transmit any Personal Identifiable Information (PII) such as your name, email address, physical address, or phone number to our servers or any third parties.

2. Usage of Sensitive Permissions

The App requires specific permissions to function as an Android Launcher. All data accessed via these permissions remains strictly on your device:

• Application Indexing (QUERY_ALL_PACKAGES): Accessed to display your app drawer and allow you to launch applications.
• Device & Call Status (READ_PHONE_STATE, READ_CALL_LOG): Accessed locally to allow the integrated dialer to display incoming calls and call history.
• Contact Access (READ_CONTACTS): Used locally to resolve phone numbers to contact names.
• Digital Wellbeing (PACKAGE_USAGE_STATS): Accessed to calculate screen time and app usage metrics shown on your home screen.
• Notification Summary (NotificationListener): Used to summarize and display alerts within the Companion Hub.

3. Third-Party Service Integration

The App integrates with the Open-Meteo API to provide localized weather updates. When you request weather data:

• Your approximate location (latitude/longitude) is sent via an encrypted HTTPS request.
• No personal identifiers or device IDs are included in this request.
• Open-Meteo does not store or track this data according to their "non-commercial use" policy.

4. Data Security & Retention

We implement strict security measures to protect your local data:

• Sandboxing: We utilize Android’s standard Linux-level sandboxing to isolate your data from other apps.
• No Cloud Backup: We specifically disable Android Cloud Backups (android:allowBackup="false") to ensure your tasks and notes cannot be extracted without your physical device.
• User Control: All data is deleted immediately and permanently upon uninstallation of the App.

5. Children’s Privacy

The App does not address anyone under the age of 13. Since we do not collect any data, we do not knowingly possess information from children.

6. Global Privacy Rights (GDPR & CCPA)

Although we do not collect data, we respect global privacy standards. Users in all regions have the right to access, delete, and restrict the use of their personal data. By design, Minutes grants you 100% control over these rights as all data resides solely on your physical device.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy periodically. You are advised to review this page for any changes. Changes are effective immediately after being posted on this page.
